About Jeff

Jeff Murrah is a marriage and family counselor in Texas, with over twenty-three years' experience. He has been in private practice since 1994, and has worked in various hospital settings since 1981. Jeff taught psychology courses at San Jacinto Junior College for six years. He conducts workshops, parenting classes and contributes a bi-weekly parenting column to the Pasadena Citizen.

Jeff meets with clients at both offices and nationally via telephone.

Jeff's specialty areas are anxiety disorders, addictions, marital and family issues. He also works with children and adolescents. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Certified Medical Psychotherapist.

Jeff and his wife, Peggy, have been married since 1985 and have three incredible sons.

Jeff, a sixth-generation Texan, is an avid student of the American Civil War. His first book, None but Texians: A History of Terry's Texas Rangers (winner of the Summerfield G. Roberts award) was published in December 2001 by Eakin Press. His second book, Texans Always Move Them (winner of the prestigious Presidio La Bahia award) was published in 2007.

He has also written an ebook, Survive Your Partners Affair, that provides step by step help to put your marriage back on track after an affair.
